Definitions for the core concepts used throughout Auteur Network.
Auteur
A Farcaster author whose cast can be discovered and funded through Auteur Network.
Curator
An activated $AUTEUR holder whose eligible Farcaster recasts can become epoch selections.
Selection
A recorded eligible recast made by a curator during an epoch.
Funded cast
A cast approved for inclusion in the epoch's deterministic reward ledger.
Curation power
The $AUTEUR-denominated power a curator can allocate during an epoch.
Dilution
The division of a curator's fixed epoch power across all of their selections.
Author discovery
The decaying 2x → 1x weight that redistributes curator budget toward casts by newly funded auteurs.
Entry discovery
The relative bonus for entering a cast before meaningful curator conviction and being confirmed by power that arrives later.
Win rate
Funded eligible non-self selections divided by all eligible non-self selections across settled epochs.
Epoch ceiling
The maximum amount the vault permits the admin to credit for an epoch.
Claimable
$AUTEUR already credited to an Ethereum address in the vault but not yet claimed.
Surplus
Vault tokens above the amount required to cover all outstanding claimable rewards.
